Premiere of the movie The Challenge

"The Challenge" movie directed by Klim Shipenko, filmed aboard the International Space Station, will be released on April 20," said Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The movie will be released widely in Russia, Serbia (including Kosovo), Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Macedonia. From April 27, the list of countries will be replenished with Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Iran, Sudan.

"The movie has become a real challenge for everyone involved in its creation. Yulia Peresild and Klim Shipenko spent 3.5 months preparing for the flight and spent 12 days in space on the ISS. The whole world was watching this legendary event," the minister added.

Psychological and psychophysiological testing of applicants was carried out by the leading psychologists of Yuri Gagarin Research & Test Cosmonaut Training Center Natalya Filippova and Zhanna Shevchenko using Psychophysiological telemetric system "Rehacor-T" and Objective psychological analysis and testing system "Egoscop".

"The Challenge" is the first feature-length fiction film to be shot on the ISS. In 2021, Peresild, Shipenko and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov went to the ISS, the shooting lasted a little less than two weeks (according to INTERFAX.RU).

Casting of actors took place at Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and included all types of testing that all cosmonaut candidates undergo.

Leading actress Yulia Peresild about tests by psychologists:
"This is very cool stuff! With the help of these tests, artists can be checked whether they are lying or not when they play a role. Students can be selected for the theater university according to your tests. It is difficult to predict something; you never know how the body will react to a particular test. But it's pointless to be afraid."

Congratulations to everyone involved in the creation of the movie! Happy Premiere! We're going to the cinema too!
