3D Localization of Intracerebral Sources "ENCEPHALAN 3D" program is designed for detecting focal manifestations of seats of pathological cerebral activity or functional seats using special EEG and EP analysis. 3D localization is used as an additional method, especially in cases when the seat of pathological cerebral activity has no obvious morphological changes and cannot be recorded with the help of the MRI.
The analysis is performed using single or double-dipole model. The results of the analysis are displayed in the form of the "cloud" of distribution of equivalent dipoles on the cerebrum cutoffs, in the form of amplitude topographic maps of initial EEG and reconstructed EEG, using dipole analysis, and in the form of diagrams, which show the dynamics of calculated indices. "The cloud" is realized both on 2D cerebrum cutoffs and on 3D head model with adjustable angle of visualization.
The analysis of locating of the dipoles into the specified closed three-dimensional domains is available, as well as tools of setting the borderlines of the three-dimensional domains, tools of exporting the results of analysis and dipole allocation distribution for these domains to the Excel-format. This feature is of a great interest while evaluating activity of different cerebrum structures.
