«REHACOR»
BIOFEEDBACK SYSTEMS for phsychophysiological rehabilitation
Rehabilitative biofeedback procedures allow a patient to control his or her physiological
functions or mental state using specific sets of psychological variables calculated
from polygraphical data such as electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyogram (EMG),
electrocardiogram (ECG), skin galvanic response (SGR), temperature (TEMP), respiration (RESP),
etc. Now/ biofeedback variables also include photoplethysmogram (PPG) and impedance plethysmogram (RHEO) data which enable a fine biofeedback control of the blood
circulation parameters.
A patient can perceive and control target variables using such biofeedback instruments
as visual images, musical fragments, computer games, diagrams and dial presented by the
patient station multimedia and/or using complex acoustic and sensory stimuli
delivered by the Acoustic Sensory Chair, while the operator can monitor the patient's
success and current data on the operator station which enables the operative control of
a biofeedback procedure.
An expandable Library of BFB procedures contains standard and user-defined scenarios of
biofeedback procedures aimed at drugless recovering the body functions at abnormal
or stress conditions, improving the nervous function control, removing the manifestations
of hyperactivity or attention deficit syndrome, correcting arterial pressure, removing
abnormal habits and dependences, rehabilitating post-stroke patients, treating
headaches and movement disorders, enhancing adaptive capacities of the body or
harmonizing the patient's psychoemotional sphere. Biofeedback procedures can also be
used for autogenic training and relaxation sessions in the occupational healthcare centers.
Diagnostic stress tests of the body functions based on specific sets of polygraphical indices can be
efficiently performed using a Rehacor system. Using the stress tests considerably enhances both control
and efficiency of psychophysiological rehabilitation procedures.
The "REHACOR" systems are efficiently applied in
wide clinical practice, in occupational care and
sports medicine, in rehabilitative and preventive
centers and sanatoria of various profile, etc.

REHACOR-BFB
Rehabilitation BFB procedures using self-regulation skills in different type of psychosomatic and other disorders by means of changing of BFB-training images according to changes in regulated physiological indices. Analyses of vegetative nervous system state.
REHACOR-EGOSCOP
Conduction of psychodiagnostic and psychophysiological studies on the basis of test-inquirers, projective and psychophysiological tests on the sensory worksheet of monitor with the control of the dynamics of physiological indices. Analyses of vegetative nervous system state.
REHACOR-BFB-EGOSCOP
Rehabilitation BFB procedures using self-regulation skills in different type of psychosomatic and other disorders and psychodiagnostic studies for evaluation of the personality characteristics on the basis of test-inquirers, projective and psychophysiological tests on the sensory worksheet of monitor with the control of the dynamics of physiological indices. Analyses of vegetative nervous system state.
Patient's block
Patient's block is a device for physiological signals reading, their reinforce-ment, initial processing and transforming into digital code for further processing and transmitting to PC. The block has an integrated lead for connecting USB-port of PC. This lead serves to transmit information and get power.

Main types of BFB-procedures
EEG bio-feedback
In clinical practice, the best results were obtained in a wide range of cerebrovascular disorders, such as consequenses of cerebrocranial traumas, convulsive and borderline states as vegetative dystonias or neurocirculatory angiopathies.
Heart Rate bio-feedback
An HR-training may be desirable to reach an optimal sympathetic/parasympathetic balance, to activate the adaptation mechanisms, to reduce the arterial pressure in hyper-tensions, or to correct arrhythmias during the relaxation procedures.
Temperature bio-feedback
This self-regulation training can be useful in the relaxation procedures, or in a treatment of migraines and other headaches of vascular genesis, or may be used for normalization of regional blood supply (limbic, epigastric, facial, forehead etc.).
EMG bio-feedback
An EMG-training is carried out to reveal and correct myotonias in treatment of hypertensory headaches, paro-xismal phantom and lumbar aches, post-insult hemiparesis, infantile paralyses, spasmodic torticollis, fallopian neuritis, or incontinences of various type.
GSR bio-feedback
A feedback by GSR is widely used in treatment of CNS, neuroses, phobiae, depressive states, emotional disorders, and in the procedures directed to improve the mental personal resis-tance to stress conditions of various origin. Because of its ability to relieve an excessive vegetative activation related to exogenic factors, the GSR-training can also help healthy people to improve both the quality and the psycho-physiological costs of acting, especially in the situations of high responsibility, danger or obstacles, and in condi-tions of deficit of time, information or resourses.
Respiratory bio-feedback
In all illnesses and functional disorders, the bio-feedback by breath may be useful, for example, in relaxation procedures during an interim period of reducing the dosage or full cancellation of drugs. Main effects: normalization of heart rate and blood pressure, general muscular tonus, level of excitation, meta-bolism, treating of insomnia, etc.
Hemodynamic bio-feedback
A bio-feedback procedure for training the circulatory system's parameters may be used in treat-ment of a range of such disorders as neurocirculatory dystoniae, arte-rial hypertension, hypotonia, peripheral circulatory disorders, migraines, faints, and the like. As a target for hemodynamic training procedure, a physician can choose either one of specific hemo-dynamic indices or a generalized parameter reflecting several indices with customi-zable weight coefficients.
Objective psychological analysis and testing in "REHACOR-EGOSCOP" system.
"Egoscop" psychognostic system is a new means of professional objective psychological analysis and testing based on synthesis of methods of instrumental lie detection and original projective psychological methods realization.
While study conducting, polygraphic signals are reordered and analyzed simultaneously with the indices of pictographic activity of a test person on a special sensor graphic tablet. The work of one specialist with a group of up to 8 persons is possible.
"EGOSCOP" can go with psychophysiological system "REHACOR" or can be used separately giving an opportunity of objective study of person's state using different conceptual approaches (Freud, Adler, Jung, Ericson, Rogers, etc.) and ensuring the technological cycle "Diagnostics - rehabilitation - control".
Possible fields of EGOSCOPE application:
• diagnostics of nonconscious pre-disease state;
• detection of problems in social, professional and privet life;
• detection of pathologic addictions or predisposition to them;
• professional selection for mentally strenious or highly responsible jobs.
