The use of electroencephalograph along with optional wireless devices of breath parameter recording, SpO2, patient body location sensors, snore sensors, moving activity sensors and the software "Encephalan-PSG" allow carrying out full PSG studies.
The results of PSG-study are hypnogram (made in automatic or speeded-up mode), report on sleep statistics, diagram of sleep stages and the description of a study with medical decision.

Polysomnographic studies are the main diagnostic method for
sleep disturbances (insomnia, hypersomnia, parasomnia, narcolepsy),
respiration dysfunction in sleep (sleep apnea syndrome, alveolar hypoventilation, snore)
accompanying cardiovascular diseases (heart rate dysfunction, coronary disease),
neurological and psychosomatic dysfunctions (epilepsy, restless legs syndrome, bruxism, etc.)
PSG studies can be carried out in autonomous and telemetric mode.
Autonomous mode (as Holter monitoring with record onto the memory card) allows carrying out the studies in the natural environment for a patient - at home, sanatorium or somnological labs.
Telemetric mode (Bluetooth) is used in medical institutions in usual or specialized wards, at patient's home in the presence of doctor.
There is an opportunity of carrying out a synchronized EEG-PSG videomonitoring.
Telemetric mode ensures the functional tests (phono- photostimulation, hyperventilation, medicated, etc.) with accompanying EEG studies, also provides neuromonitoring, long-latent EP analysis, including cognitive (CNV, P300, MMN) and EP for audiovisual stimulation.
It is also possible to record the blood pressure with the help of ambulatory BP monitors with Bluetooth interface.
Additional universal wireless record module (Adapter PG-ECG) is meant for cardio-respiratory monitoring or monitoring of different physiological signals in necessary combination.

Functional capabilities of "Encephalan PSG"
On the basis of PSG studies data analysis a doctor can build a hypnogram on his own using the instruments for fast search of the necessary fragments and indices trend mode, or using the automatic hypnogram building. This can save doctor's time and allow him fast forming of a final expert hypnogram variant.
On the basis of signals from wireless pulseoximeter the program automatically detects desaturation intervals and forms reports on SpO2 data according to sleep stages (hypnogram) and body position (body position sensor).
Differential diagnostics of apnoea (central, obstructive, combined) is made and respiration dysfunctions reports are formed on the basis of abdominal and thoracic respiration recursion signals , respiration flow and snore signals.
On the basis of body position sensor and wireless motion activity sensors one can detect presence and manifestation degree of restless legs syndrome and form reports on movement activity dysfunction in sleep.
Automatically built hypnogram as a rule is a draft, on the basis of which a doctor can build an expert hypnogram specifying the duration and type of sleep stages during the visual analysis of data in the signal window, also with the help of the different types of mathematical analysis and trends of estimate indicators.
Trends provide insight into the dynamics of compact physiological characteristics during the continuous record which speeds up the visual analysis of PSG studies data array.

Analysis result is formed by means of sleep statistics reports and sleep stages distribution in form of tables and diagrams.
Instrument for correction of automatic hypnogram building system on the basis of doctor's clinical experience allows increasing data validity.
