The program "ENCEPHALAN-PSG" for polysomnographic studies harmonically complements the capabilities of the Portable Electroencephalograph and allows using it to diagnose sleep and wakefulness disturbance, respiratory impairment (apnea syndrome, snoring), to estimate the state of central nervous and cardiovascular systems.

This program allows processing of patient's sleep record obtained from EEG-videomonitoring (stationary or portable variant), and also from ambulatory monitoring of the main recordable parameters (EEG, EMG, EOG, ECG, respiration and position of a patient's body).

The use of digital compander of polygraphic channels significantly enlarges the set of recording signals for carrying out full value independent PSG-studies.

The algorithms of automatic search of nonstationarities according to input criteria and previously defined different fragments for analysis are realized. The dynamics of necessary calculated indices (for example, index of sleep spindles, index of EEG slow waves and alpha-index, eyeballs movements, muscles tone, respiration parameters, etc.) is represented in real time and postreal time by means of trend-diagrams.

Hypnogram is made with the help of results of visual and quantitative data analysis and with the help of calculated indices dynamics analysis.

The results of PSG-study are hypnogram, report on sleep statistics, diagram of sleep stages and the description of a study with medical decision.
