Portable Electroencephalograph ENCEPHALAN is used in a wireless mode for routine studies in a doctor's consulting room and at the patient's locationas well: in hospital rooms, at home, in the ambulance car, under field conditions. All equipment required for studies can be transported in one shoulder bag.

Wide range of applications is possible due to little weight of device, use of accumulators (less than 400 g), wireless data transfer (Bluetooth connection) and the use of portable computer (notebook). Compact photic-, auditory- and electrostimulators allow performing of functional tests.

Specially designed "click-tube" electrodes and fixing caps allow recording of 19 standard EEG inputs and difference of referential derivations A1-A2 (the level of constant potential, that characterizes ultra-slow cerebral activity, is also recorded through these derivations). ECG, EMG, EOG, data from two-dimensional body position sensor and a respiration gauge can also be recorded.

Effective visual data analysis is possible including referential reconstruction, split-screen review of signals, scanning and scrolling of signals, search of required data.

Traditional methods of diagnostics are extended with quantitative methods of EEG analysis: two- and three-dimensional topographic mapping, real time toposcope, functional asymmetry analysis, auto- and cross-correlative analysis, coherence function and automatic compilation of description and classification of EEG.
