Wireless patient's stimulation block completely synchronized with EEG-recording makes the study of evoked potentials available. The studies of long-latent visual, auditory and somatosensory EP for photic-, auditory-, electro-stimulation, reverse chess pattern and also the study of cognitive EP (CNV, P300) and MMN are available.
The quality of EEG-recording and the result of averaging by EP "pockets" are controlled in real time during carrying out of studies. Topical presentation of the averaged EP in all leads, tables and topographic maps, showing amplitudes and latency of the components of EP are available in the post real time mode. While studying cognitive and endogenous EP, a special push-button sensor is used and the histogram of latent reaction period is being built.
The results of EP studies as addition to the EEG-results help the doctor on base of quantitative indices to precisely estimate functional state of a cerebrum, localization and severity of abnormalities, also help to detect abnormality of central nonspecific and nociceptive afferentation, possible cognitive disorders, etc.
